AFCAT
What is AFCAT?
The full form of AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test. AFCAT is an Entrance Examination held by the Indian Air Force to select applicants for several Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) positions.
Candidates are selected based on their performance in the Online Written Exam and the Interview Round conducted by the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB). Candidates who choose the Ground Duty (Technical) branch are required to take the AFCAT CBT Exam and the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).
Both men and women would earn a monthly stipend of INR 56,100/- during the training period. After completing the training period successfully, an IAF Officer will be paid between INR 56,100/- and INR 1,10,700/- as per the 7th pay commission.

AFCAT Selection Process
The online exam is conducted by the Indian Air Force. The selection process of AFCAT Exam comprises the following stages:
AFCAT Written Exam is the only criteria for clearing first stage for the Non-Technical candidates; while AFCAT+ EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test) for the Technical candidates

For all the candidates of the AFCAT, it is mandatory to appear in the written test. Also, the candidates who have applied for the technical posts need to appear in the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

AFCAT EKT Syllabus
AFCAT EKT is a 45-minutes exam and is followed by AFCAT. Candidates are given half an hour window after which AFCAT EKT Exam takes place. The total duration for the AFCAT exam is 2 hours and the mode of examination is online.
