Indian Army GD Exam

Indian Army GD Eligibility Criteria 

 

In order to appear for the selection round, an individual has to qualify through different criteria like educational, marital, nationality, physical and medical. All the details for every criterion are mentioned below:

  • Educational Qualification 
  • The candidates need to have scored a minimum of 33 marks out of 100 in their core subjects in the 10th standard.
  • The candidate’s aggregate should sum up to a minimum of 45%.
  • The candidate’s best 5 will be considered for all calculations.

Indian Army GD Age Limit

Marital Qualification 

The official notification released also briefs about the marital status of the candidate. The candidate should be single or unmarried for joining the Indian Army GD.

Nationality Criteria 

  • The Nationality criteria allows citizens from multiple nations to join the Indian Army. The description is provided below:
  • An Indian citizen
  • A citizen of Nepal or Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugee who has permanently settled in India prior to January 1, 1962.
  • An Indian refugee who immigrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently live in India.
  • The above-mentioned candidates need to show their nationality certificate issued by the Government of India, except for the Gorkha citizen of Nepal.

Apart from other criteria, a candidate is bound to go through a physical test also. The test is

There is a physical fitness test also, which involves the following activities:

  • 1.6 km Run.
  • Pull-ups
  • Balance
  • 9 Feet Ditch

Indian Army GD Exam Pattern 

 

  • The question paper consists of a total of 50 questions.
  • Every question carries 2 marks. Thus, the total marks of the paper equal 100.
  • In order to clear the exam, the candidates must score 32 marks out of 100.
  • Every right answer consists of 02 marks.
  • For every wrong answer attempted, there is a negative marking of 0.5 marks.
  • For every unattempted question, no marks or penalty is applied.
  • There is an exception for candidates who have NCC ‘C’ Certificate. The candidates with the NCC ‘C’ Certificate need not appear in this examination. Also, check Territorial Army Exam Pattern.

The selection process of the Indian Army GD Recruitment  involves two rounds:

  • Written Exam
  • Physical Test

Indian Army GD Cut-Off 2022

Indian Army GD Salary Structure
